Using Mathematica to Model the Birthday Problem as a Poisson Distribution
We can use technology to help us complete complex or tedious math problem. Using Mathematica we can model and simulate problems that would otherwise take too long to complete. An example of one of these problems is the model problem. The problem states that in a set of n randomly chosen people, some pair of them will have the same birthday. With technology we can show the probability of having the same birthday as someone else at any n by the use of a simple formula.
