Application of Math
Some times in math its hard to see the real world applications of certain topics especially in advance topics. While most math may seem "abstract" the world around would not function with out the uses of these advance topics. Finding real world example of mathematics can help student and adults understand the man uses and joys that the knowledge of math brings.
This application math gives a real world example of the uses of linear algebra, graph theory and probability. The application looks at how the importance of web pages are determined and the order at which they appear on a Google search. By the use of these advance math topics we can create a algorithm for determining the PageRank. Google's PageRank algorithm goes beyond the normal approach of ranking pages based on hits and takes into account how important a page is based on how my links to and away from itself a page contains.
